Insurance:
We do not accept insurance at this time. However, HSA/FSA funds may be used for eligible services. Upon request, a superbill can be provided for insurance reimbursement. If you need a superbill, please email moc.liamg%40ucasdnaldoow with the details and dates you visited us for acupuncture.
Cancellation and Late Policy:
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. To respect our time and other patients, a 24-hour cancellation policy applies:
24+ hours' notice: No charge (unless you are a new patient with a deposit, which is non-refundable).
Less than 24 hours' notice: $50
No-shows or 15+ minutes late: $50
If you notify us that you'll be late but arrive more than 15 minutes after your scheduled time, your appointment may be forfeited or the duration of the appointment may be shortened. We understand that emergencies happen, and exceptions may be made at our discretion. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to adjust your appointment.
Booking & Payment Policy:
New Patient / First Initial Visit Deposit:
We require a $50 deposit to schedule the first initial visit or as new patients. This deposit is non-refundable, no exceptions.
A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your first appointment. This deposit will be applied to your first consultation/treatment cost at checkout. If you reschedule within 24 hours of the first appointment, the deposit will transfer to your new appointment date, which is only available for the 1st reschedule. You cannot reschedule an appointment that was already rescheduled.
Payments: Full payment or the balance of the full session is due at the end of your session.
Outstanding Invoices: All invoices must be settled within 24 hours of your treatment. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of future appointments or the termination of our professional patient-doctor relationship.
Forms & Consents: All forms and consents must be completed and signed before the appointment time, ideally 24-48 hours before so that the first session can run smoothly. The booking, records, payment, and email systems are HIPAA-certified. If you encounter issues, please contact us asap. If absolutely necessary, you may arrive 15-20 minutes early to complete the forms electronically in the office.
We kindly ask that you respect our policies. Attempts to negotiate, pressure, or threaten negative reviews will not result in policy exceptions and may result in termination of our professional patient-doctor relationship. Thank you for your understanding!

24 Hours’ Notice
24 Hours’ Notice Is Required For All Changes/Cancellations
Changes must be made by calling (713) 377-1832 (and either speaking with a team member or leaving a voicemail) with at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time. Changes or cancellations made after 24 hours will incur a $50 fee.
Cancellations/changes due to medical reasons will not have the fee waived unless a valid doctor's note is provided (note: we will call and verify).
Cancellations/changes due to scheduled travel, menstrual cycles, routine medications, or other reasonably predictable matters will not have the fee waived.
No-Show Policy / First Visit Deposit (required)
Here at the Woodlands Acupuncture and Herbal Clinic, our goal is striving to provide top-quality individualized oriental medical care in a timely manner. "No-shows" inconvenience tremendously our deserving patients like you who need access to our medical care in a timely manner. Below is our updated appointment policy regarding first visits, late cancellations and missed appointments. This policy enables us to better utilize available appointment schedules for patients in need of timely care. Your appointment is reserved exclusively for you. For our acupuncturists to stay on - schedule, we can only accept tardiness up to 10 minutes of “grace period” from your scheduled appointment time. At that point, we will have to re-schedule if the patient arrives after the “grace period”.
Please note, beginning Monday, July 10, 2023, for any new patient’s first treatment / visit, a $50 deposit is required to book the appointment. This deposit can be made with a credit/debit over the phone (recommended) or paid in-person at the office at the time of booking, will be applied toward the first treatment fee when patient arrives for the first visit. If a patient needs to cancel the first treatment/visit and cannot provide 24-hours’ notice, the deposit will be used for the fees incurred. As always, the same amount ($50) fee is invoiced / assessed on the credit card on file for any late cancellations received within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment or “no-shows”. Emergencies do happen, our staff and acupuncturists are fully aware and will always try to accommodate our patients. We truly appreciate your cooperation and understanding!
Arrived Late and Grace Period
If you arrive more than 10 minutes late to your originally scheduled appointment (after grace period), your appointment may need to be rescheduled (at the discretion of the treatment provider).
